Ginny Evans-Pollard is a British writer, comedian, performer, theatre reviewer and interdisciplinary theatre practitioner dividing her time between the UK and Portugal. Her bold, queer and neurodivergent-led work combines comedy, autobiographical storytelling, spoken word and experimental performance.

Her creative background spans fringe theatre, stand-up comedy, improvisation, journalism and live storytelling. Ginny has developed and performed work at the Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, Camden Women’s Writers Festival and Edinburgh Improv Festival. She is also active within Lisbon’s international comedy and performance community.

Her previous work includes Oops! My Neurodiversity Is Showing and You Never Smelled My Dog. She has created and performed characters including Sister Rainbow and is currently developing new stand-up comedy drawn from her experiences of queer identity, neurodivergence, ageing and personal transformation.

Ginny holds an MA in Journalism and writes about theatre, comedy and culture. As a theatre reviewer, she is particularly interested in independent, experimental, queer and neurodivergent-led performance. Her approach is thoughtful and constructive, considering what each production aims to achieve while bringing her perspective as both a journalist and theatre practitioner.
